We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Perception team and help us build new AR experiences that will make our Camera smarter and deliver value to our community. Through Scan, our team builds the technology and experiences that enable Snapchat’s camera to intelligently understand the world around us. This team is composed of innovative product thinkers, engineers, and scientists who work together to bring captivating Snapchat experiences to life — all powered by artificial intelligence.
Scan’s fingerprints have been all over many of our AR zero to one product launches including Scan shopping, Camera Shortcuts, Markers and Visual Search for categories like dogs, music, plants, food and more! As a product leader, you will develop and lead product strategy, identify trends in data, plan short and long term roadmaps, build trust between teams, and orchestrate wide-scale product implementation and rollout.

What you'll do:

  • Be a product leader in your area by deeply understanding the needs of our customers and developing a strong product vision and strategy
  • Partner with designers, engineers, machine learning experts and data scientists to build technology, systems, and products that redefine how our community uses the camera
  • Build alignment across the company on your vision, including leadership and executives

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • A team player who can collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, data science and other cross-functional teammates
  • Ability to independently initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Communicate concisely and influence outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping products at a consumer technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of building strategies and roadmaps in nascent product areas with emerging behaviors
  • Hands on experience across the entire product lifecycle including: defining product needs, prioritization, pre/post-launch execution
  • Experience working on a combination of consumer products and business or platform oriented products
  • Experience working on an ML-driven consumer/ business product
  • A passion for Snapchat and creative problem solving!
