Today restaurants upload images of food and drinks that will be displayed in a menu in our application. The post processing steps available to the restaurants after uploading the image are cropping, zooming, and positioning. Based on the time, effort, and capability of the person in charge, the quality of the final image differs.
The idea behind this thesis is that the person aforementioned would be presented with several recommended setups for the image based on some presentability criteria.
The thesis is about analyzing and evaluating AI methods used to recommend image-enhancements. This involves investigating image datasets, choosing appropriate algorithms, and figuring out ways to evaluate the resulting models.
Although the image options are cropping, zooming, and positioning, another idea is to recommend other enhancements of image parameters, such as color and brightness.
The objective of this thesis is to implement an AI-based model which recommends cropping-, zooming-, positioning enhancements to the image based on presentability.
- A student starting their Master’s thesis project in Q1 2021 in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
