Master's Thesis: Calibrated panorama merging on a smartphone at Imint

Panorama images merged from several photos have existed for many years, and is normally accomplished by matching feature points in the images, as well as profiling of the lens and camera system.

The objective of this thesis is to merge several photos into a panorama on a smartphone, using the comprehensive information available on the device, such as movement data from motion sensors, lens and camera sensor calibration etc. It will include a comprehensive pre-study about what parameters are required or helpful to perform an accurate merge. The code will be written in C++ in Imint’s photo processing framework.
