The goal of the Global Siri team is to take Siri to the next level of intelligence, capability, and performance by building machine learning and software engineering systems that scale globally to all languages, platforms, and devices. This intern will participate fully in a team that applies machine learning, data science, and software engineering approaches to improving Siri. Your work will involve building key systems that enable Siri engineers and scientists to rapidly improve speech recognition, natural language understanding, and text-to-speech systems in all languages.
Key Qualifications Key Qualifications
- “Full-stack” experience (backend, databases, CI/CD, frontend, UX/UI design) in building high-scale, highly available (99.99+) systems, ideally with streaming data and machine learning applications
- Expertise in software engineering and passion for writing high-performance, reusable code for components that will be used across our product
- Experience with writing full-stack web application code and working with database systems, big data processing, and backend infrastructure
- Coursework or experience in machine learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval an asset
You will join a team that is responsible for improving the end to end quality of Siri in all languages. The Global Siri team is passionate about finding using groundbreaking and innovative machine learning techniques to advance the state-of-the art in natural language understanding. You will work with large datasets, develop experiments with new approaches, implement prototypes and finally engineer your solution to be delivered in production systems.
